Goodness! Where do I begin? So on Friday I decided to purchase lunch for my team. Even though I’m not a big chicken eater they wanted Popeyes.

This past Friday I did something that I don’t normally do. I left my cell phone at my house. *cue dramatic music* Oh no! How would I live? How would I survive? I resisted the urge to turn my car around. Seriously! I was fine with being late for work to have my phone. However, I didn’t and I went about my day.
Amazingly, my world didn’t end and I was actually happy to not be connected. I wasn’t consumed with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter. My world that day was completely quiet. I was able to get more work done and I wasn’t in system overload.
Also, nothing crazy happened because I didn’t have my phone. I wasn’t stranded in the middle of nowhere. I didn’t get in a car wreck. There were no emergency phone calls I missed. My day was completely normal.
Sometimes we just need to turn off. Relax our minds and let our conscience be free. Going forward I plan to turn off at least once a month. Go enjoy life and turn off the iPhone.
